Joseph Chad Brannen
"Chad" was born in Unadilla, Georgia in 1970. He attended Fullington Academy in Pinehurst, Georgia and graduated in 1988. Chad then went to Valdosta State University where he majored in Political Science and was a member and President of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. After graduating from Valdosta in 1992, Chad attended Mississippi College of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. Chad received his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College of Law in 1995. After being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1995, Chad started working for Richard Moore & Associates in Marietta, Georgia doing domestic and criminal litigation. Chad then worked with Richard Rhymer in Conyers, Georgia, where he learned his love of Bankruptcy Law. Chad then went out on his own, opening a practice in Stockbridge, Georgia in 1999, practicing a wide variety of areas of law but with a concentration on Bankruptcy. In 2005, Chad and his wife, Ashley, created the Brannen Law Group, P.C.
Chad and his wife Ashley live in Atlanta with their son Candler Barnes Brannen.
Ashley Baker Brannen
Ashley B. Brannen became Joseph Chad Brannen's law partner in 2005 with the formation of the Brannen Law Group, P.C. Ashley has been a licensed attorney since 2003.
Ashley practices in the areas of Bankruptcy, Real Estate law, Domestic Law, Civil Litigation and Personal Injury.
Prior to joining her husband in forming the Brannen Law Group, P.C., Ashley was law clerk to the Honorable Matthew O. Simmons, Superior Court Judge for the Clayton Judicial Circuit of Georgia. Ashley received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University in 2003. Ashley interned at several law firms in Atlanta during her studies, including, Chamberlain Hrdlicka, LLP, Weener, Mason & Nathan LLP, and Fincher & Hecht, LLP. Ashley also interned with the late Honorable Rowland W. Barnes of the Fulton County Superior Court in 2002. During her third year of law school, Ashley was sworn into the practice of law under the Georgia Third Year Practice Act, and represented clients in Domestic Relations and the Domestic Violence realm. Ashley completed her undergraduate studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was an Executive member of Pi Beta Phi.
Ashley is admitted to practice before all Courts in the state of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She is also a member of the Georgia Bar, the American Bar Association, The Clayton County Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta, Junior League of Atlanta, Atlanta Phoenix Debutante Society Class of 1997, and continues volunteer work throughout Atlanta.
Ashley and her husband Chad reside in Atlanta with their son.
